One of the most important indicators
of wool quality is the thickness of fleece, which is measured in microns (millionths
of a metre, or thousandths of a millimetre of diameter). The smallest the
micron number, the thinner is the wool, therefore it is softer and more
precious. The largest the micron number, it is the "rougher" the
fibre and less valuable it is.
Merino sheep produce wool less than 24
microns in diameter; common sheep produce wool over 30 microns. At fibre
thickness around 28 microns, uncomfortable next to the skin.
Superfine merino wool has a thickness
of 15 to 18.5 microns, it has the highest value and is used in the most
delicate products, which is pleasant to wear on the bare body.
Hand wash at 30°C. Use only special detergents for wool and delicate fabrics.
Benefits of merino wool:
1.Merino wool is soft and comfortable. Merino wool is soft and comfortable, unlike regular wool, it does not prick.
2 Merino wool warms up, absorbs sweat well and keeps you warm even when it becomes wet from sweat.
3 Merino wool is thin and soft, without irritation or allergy to the skin. Recommended for children with sensitive skin.
4.When worn intensively, it does not accumulate unpleasant odors and has bactericidal effect.
